Astro Boy (April 1952 - March 1968)
On April 7, 2003, Dr. Tenma, the head of the Ministry of Science, used the full resources of the Ministry to create a robot that looked exactly like his only son, Tobio, who had died in a traffic accident. Dr. Tenma loved the robot as if it were his own son, but eventually became angry when it stopped growing and sold it to a robot circus. The robot, named Atom, was forced to work at the circus, but thanks to the efforts of Dr. Ochanomizu, the new head of the Ministry of Science, robots were granted human rights, and Atom was finally free. Atom lived in a suburban house with his robot parents, created by Dr. Ochanomizu, and attended Ochanomizu Elementary School. However, whenever trouble arises, Atom bravely confronts evil with his 100,000 horsepower.

Atom:
A masterpiece of advanced science and technology, created by Dr. Tenma as a substitute for his son, Tobio, who was lost in an accident. It possesses seven powers, including 100,000 horsepower. It has a pure heart and human-like emotions are programmed into its electronic brain. It has little sense of fear or aesthetics.
